Just One Kiss is based on the first installment of Emily Jean’s Wattpad novel series. Farrah Blake is a senior high school student who hopes to experience romance before summer arrives. Her friends are already dating people they like, while Farrah feels as though she has been left behind. To make matters worse, her classmates mock her by calling her the Virgin Mary.

Farrah has had feelings for her childhood best friend, Ethan Sinclair, for years. She often imagines sharing her Just One Kiss moment with the boy everyone at school wants. Unfortunately, Ethan’s overprotective mother, Sheryl, stands in the way. Farrah knows she isn’t supposed to fall in love with him, so she tries to convince herself that Ethan isn’t her type.

A school prince like Ethan should be with another princess, not someone like her—or at least, that’s what Farrah keeps telling herself. Deep down, she wants Ethan to admit that she is the only girl he wants. When Ethan finds another boy he believes would be perfect for her, Farrah faces a difficult choice. Will she give someone else a chance, or will her feelings for her supportive but flirtatious best friend refuse to disappear?

Characters

Farrah Blake

Farrah Blake is the main female character and is mocked at school as the Virgin Mary. She has had a crush on Ethan since childhood but feels pressured to give up on him. Ethan’s overprotective mother makes their relationship even more difficult.

Ethan Sinclair

Ethan Sinclair is the popular school prince and the main male character. Although many girls want his attention, Ethan only has eyes for Farrah. His playful and supportive behavior makes it harder for her to hide her feelings.

Gia

Gia is the glamorous villain who looks like a supermodel. She likes Ethan and believes they are meant to be together, despite his obvious lack of interest in her. Farrah’s closeness with Ethan makes Gia see her as a rival.

Connor

Connor is the boy at the pool who joins his friends in harassing Farrah. He ignores her boundaries and refuses to respect her discomfort. His behavior turns an already difficult situation into something more threatening.
